The Controversy of Makeup

Being in the beauty industry, I feel almost obligated to write about the topic of makeup. Why? Because I make my living by applying makeup and creating the "best version of yourself." But what truly defines the best version of yourself???

Personally, I don't wear makeup on a daily basis. I believe that you should be proud of your own skin, and if you choose to wear makeup, whether it be a little or a lot, you should also be proud of that choice. Makeup, to me, is a form of communication and an art in itself. It has the magical power to boost our confidence and make us feel more beautiful. However, I will never claim that it is the only way to show or feel beautiful. You are beautiful simply because you are, with or without makeup.

At the end of the day, makeup is just an accessory that you can choose to use or not. That's why I applaud famous artists like Alicia Keys and lately, Pamela Anderson, who have attended big events without wearing makeup. They are showing the next generations that makeup is simply that - makeup. It is a personal choice and not a necessity.

I encourage everyone to embrace their natural beauty and be proud of who they are, with or without makeup. Let's celebrate diversity and individuality, allowing each person to express themselves in whatever way makes them feel confident and empowered.
